Salary

£49,072 – £83,000 per year (dependent on experience/leadership capacity).
Package includes performance incentives / strategic growth bonus linked to enrolment growth, retention, operational efficiency, and delivery of objectives.

School Overview

  • DfE-accredited British school and CIS-accredited institution. 

  • Combines a physical London base with live, interactive online lessons delivered by UK-qualified teachers to students worldwide. 

  • Currently ~85 students, aiming for 150+ by September 2026 (growth-focused).

Working Pattern (important correction)

  • On-site leadership role in Clapham, London

  • Core hours: Mon–Fri, 6:30am–4:30pm 

Role Purpose

Lead, grow, and sustain iBOS as a financially responsible, academically rigorous, technologically advanced British school, including:

  • Strategic leadership across all key stages

  • High standards of teaching and learning

  • Embedding AI and digital systems into pedagogy

  • Driving recruitment and retention

  • Ensuring financial discipline and value for money

  • Building leadership capacity 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Whole-school improvement + growth plan

  • Lead toward 150-student target and beyond

  • Support brand positioning and recruitment strategy; work with marketing/admissions and conversion data 

  1. Financial Management & Sustainability

  • Budget oversight, staffing models linked to student numbers, operational efficiency

  • Financial management is stated as “non-negotiable.” 

  1. Educational Quality & Curriculum

  • Consistent standards across Primary/Secondary/Sixth Form

  • Curriculum coherence, assessment/data-driven improvement

  • Compliance with DfE/Ofsted/exam board expectations; QA for an online model 

  1. Technology, IT & AI Integration

  • Oversight of learning platforms/MIS/safeguarding systems

  • Lead ethical/effective AI use by staff; strong vision for tech in education 

  1. Leadership & Culture

  • High-performance culture; develop middle/aspiring leaders

  • Solve problems across teaching/curriculum/marketing/IT/operations 

  1. Safeguarding & Compliance

  • Safeguarding embedded across phases; statutory compliance in an online framework 

Candidate Requirements (aligned to the pack)

Essential

  • QTS (or equivalent)

  • Significant leadership experience with cross-phase/whole-school responsibility

  • Evidence of measurable improvement + strong data literacy

  • Strong financial awareness (budgets, resource allocation, sustainability)

  • High competence in IT systems + strong understanding of AI (practical + ethical)

  • Resilience, ability to work extended hours, “roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset

  • Excellent communication with staff/parents/students/stakeholders 

Desirable

  • NPQH / NPQML

  • Experience scaling provision; admissions/recruitment analytics; digital transformation; inspection preparation
